: I bought Polk dx6 6 1/5's....and dremeled the factory bose speaker enclosures as well...however, in the rear, did you have a problem with the speaker sticking out too far??? like, when you put the panel back on, did it not fit PERFECTLY right? Well the rears just dropped in. But first i removed the Bose amp, then reused IT'S wiring to drive the speakers. Also i put a thick layer of cilicone glue around the edges then set the speakers in and screwed in tight. Got a perfect seal and the stock mesh covers fit right over them. also, when I get an amp, 1. will it sound THAT much better? 2. how hard is it to hook it up, do i have to run wires to all the speakers? Do not revire. Just use the existing Bose wires. As far as the amp, well if you have a good headunit it will be louder and propably play clearer at higher volumes. I have a different preferencefor sound. Check my profile for my sound setup, it sounds really sweet. Blose can't touch this.
